More About UNCFoundation

Mission
The UNC Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of education and research that promotes and expands the awareness of the interconnectivity between human wellness, social coherence, and the natural environment.

Check out our new branch campus in Vermont:

In collaboration with Live Life Resources, The Foundation has established a branch campus in Stamford, Vermont, which is located amongst the rolling foothills of the Green Mountains. The campus includes a 9 acre farm and approximately 300 acres of forest land. Both the farm and land are integral to implementing the Foundation’s and UNC's mission.

Advancing the Foundation's Mission

We love to collaborate:

An extensive portion of the initiatives that support the Foundation’s mission are offered through the Vermont branch campus. The Foundation and UNC have entered into a joint collaboration with LiveLifeResources (LLR), an educational organization committed to delivering and promoting the principles and practices required for regenerative well-being for humans, non-humans, and the planet.

LLR provides community-centric learning and research opportunities through Stone Lions Farm. UNC dba The New England School of Bioenergetic Medicine (located in Vermont) provides professional education, both residential and virtual, grounded in biomedicine, TAM, and Environmental Therapeutics.

Dr. Y King Liu's Legacy

During the 1960s, Dr. Liu was a pioneer in the development of the biomedical engineering field. He was especially interested in integrative approaches to combining the wisdom and knowledge of  Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Liu's vision was to one day have a full campus dedicated to scientific exploration as well as the exploring artistic endeavor.

In the mid-1990s, Dr. Liu established both the UNC Foundation and the University of Northern California (UNC). Together their mission focused on biomedical engineering and the development of important prototypes for health, as well as  education and research. Today, this dream continues through the establishment of The Stone Lions Institute in Southern Vermont.

An additional aspect of Dr. Liu’s legacy is his work as a licensed acupuncturist with over 50 years of practice and research. The Foundation continues to support his biomedical engineering and acupuncture expertise by providing education and research in the field of bio-energetics and energy medicine.
